CLEANSingle-ingredient whole Khapli-wheat vermicelli, no additives.

Khapli Vermicelli (sewai) is made in small batches from a single ancient grain — whole Khapli, or Emmer, wheat — with nothing else added. Naturally higher in protein and fibre and lower in gluten than refined-wheat vermicelli, it has a gentle, nutty flavour and is easier to digest. It's a wholesome swap in all the classics: comforting upma, festive kheer, or stir-fried and roasted dishes.

Grown by fourth-generation farmers using regenerative natural farming and traceable to its source; carries no maida, additives, binders, fillers or preservatives.

What to look for in Vermicelli?
01

Durum wheat semolina is the standard for pasta that holds its bite. Maida-based pasta turns soft and sticky.

02

A single-ingredient list is achievable here. Added emulsifiers and colours are not necessary in dry pasta.

03

Whole wheat pasta is darker and firmer. A pale 'whole wheat' pasta is usually mostly refined flour.

04

Check the cooking time on the pack against the shape. Very short times often mean a softer, more refined dough.
