Sugarcane Jaggery - crushed granular is made the traditional way — heirloom-variety sugarcane juice is cooked down in an iron kadai (wok) over firewood and clarified with okra (lady's finger) pulp instead of chemical whiteners.

The crushed jaggery is then naturally dried into a coarse, granular form that dissolves easily in tea, coffee and everyday cooking. Sugarcane Juice is the only ingredient, with no chemical additives or clarifiers used at any stage. Packed in a facility that also processes wheat, tree nuts and seeds.

Why We Like It

  • Made the old way — okra pulp instead of chemical clarifiers, slow-cooked in an iron kadai over firewood.
  • Dissolves faster than a block, which is the practical reason to choose this format.
  • Lab results are clear across heavy metals, pesticide residues, GMO and microbiology.

03

Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and moisture

What to look for in Jaggery?
01

Sulphur is used to bleach jaggery pale and uniform. Sulphurless jaggery is darker and varies from batch to batch.

02

Very light, very even jaggery usually means bleaching agents or added colour. Natural jaggery runs from golden to dark brown.

03

Jaggery draws moisture and softens in humid weather. That is the product behaving normally, not spoiling.

04

Jaggery is still sugar. It carries trace minerals, but not in quantities that make it a health food.
