Refined white sugar from certified organic sugarcane. Worth being straightforward about what organic certification does and does not do here. It governs how the cane was grown — no synthetic pesticides or fertilisers in the field — and that is a genuine difference at the agricultural end. It does not change what refined sugar is nutritionally. Once cane is refined to white crystal, the molasses is gone and with it the trace minerals; what remains is sucrose, and your body does not distinguish organic sucrose from any other kind. Anyone buying this for a health reason rather than an agricultural one should know that. There is also a processing question the listing does not answer: conventional sugar refining often uses bone char as a decolourising filter, which is a processing aid rather than an ingredient and so never appears on a label. For anyone eating strictly vegetarian or vegan, that is worth confirming with the brand directly before buying.
