What to look for in an Essential Oil?
One line on the ingredients is what you want: the botanical name and nothing else. A 'fragrance oil' or 'perfume oil' is a different product entirely.
Lemongrass is easy to imitate synthetically, so a named region and a named distiller are worth more here than most.
Solvents and DPG are used to extend an oil and stretch the bottle. A pure oil names no carrier at all.
Amber or cobalt glass, never clear and never plastic — light and plastic both degrade an essential oil.
