A hair oil built on nilanarakam, made by Adivasi women's collectives in central Kerala. The name is the Malayalam term for a local medicinal plant, and this is exactly the kind of product that makes Forest Post's range distinctive — a preparation drawn from a regional herbal tradition rather than from the standard commercial palette of amla, bhringraj and coconut. It is also the hardest in the range to document: the botanical name is not published, so we list the plant by the name its makers use rather than by species. Assessed on clean-label first principles rather than FSSAI, since cosmetics sit outside food law. We have asked Forest Post for the botanical name, the carrier oil and the preparation method, and will add them here once confirmed.
