A three-ingredient lip balm: olive oil, beeswax and essential oil, in a 10 g tin. The beeswax comes from wild combs harvested by forest-dwelling communities, which is the same supply chain behind Forest Post's honey. Orange is the softer, everyday one; mint is sharper and cooling. There is no petrolatum, no synthetic fragrance and no preservative in either, which is unusual in a category where most balms run to ten ingredients or more.

A balm needs an oil, a wax and optionally a scent; anything much longer is doing work the basics already do.

'Fragrance' or 'parfum' on a label can cover a long undisclosed list. An essential oil is more specific, though the best labels name which one.
