Beeswax Lip Balm

A beeswax and honey lip balm from Aadhimalai's Nilgiris cooperative, made from beeswax, golden honey, olive oil and a natural fragrance. The logic of the formulation is sound and traceable to their own supply chain: beeswax forms the occlusive barrier that stops moisture escaping, honey draws water in, olive oil conditions — and both the wax and the honey come from the same forest hives the cooperative already harvests. Ten flavours are produced: Chocolate, Honey, Lemon, Mint, Orange, Strawberry, Vanilla and Pomegranate appear publicly, with Pineapple and Mango confirmed on the official price list. Assessed on clean-label first principles rather than FSSAI, since cosmetics sit outside FSSAI's remit. Two claims keep this at Caution. The brand describes it as 100% organic but names no certifying body — an unbacked organic claim is exactly the kind of thing worth verifying rather than repeating. And natural fragrance is not specified per flavour, so whether that means an essential oil or a compounded flavour preparation is unresolved.
