Cold-Pressed Sunflower Oil — Two Brothers

Sunflower oil is the poster child of the modern refinery. Most of it is crushed with hexane solvent, then bleached, deodorised and stripped until it is a flavourless, colourless commodity — and usually dosed with a synthetic antioxidant like TBHQ to keep it stable on the shelf.

Two Brothers make it the old way. The seeds are pressed slowly in a wood-driven ghani (kachi ghani) without heat, then simply single-filtered — no solvent, no bleaching, no deodorising, no added antioxidant.

It is also certified Glyphosate-Free by the Detox Project , a third-party lab certification, and single-filtered so a little fibre settles at the bottom — a sign of what was not taken out.

What is left in the bottle is the whole oil: its natural tocopherols (vitamin E), a gentle nutty aroma, and a golden colour — the things refining is designed to remove.
