Turmeric from the Lakadong region of Meghalaya, hand-harvested and sold with a stated curcumin range of 7-10%. That figure is the reason this variety has a reputation: ordinary commercial turmeric typically sits around 2-3% curcumin, so Lakadong is genuinely at the top end of what the species produces, and it is not a marketing invention. It is grown in the Jaintia Hills largely by smallholder farmers and has geographical-indication recognition. The colour and aroma are noticeably more intense than standard haldi. Two caveats keep this at Caution. We could not locate a lab certificate confirming the specific 7-10% figure for this batch, and a numeric potency claim is exactly the sort that should be backed by a report rather than accepted.
